The Russian printing market continues to adapt to the current difficult situation. New players are coming to replace companies that have left Russia or suspended their activities. So on November 2, Konica Minolta Russia and Xin De Cheng signed an agreement at the All In Print exhibition in Shanghai, on the basis of which the Russian office of Konica Minolta becomes the official exclusive representative of Xin De Cheng in Russia and CIS countries.

In recent years, Konica Minolta Russia was successfully selling digital equipment for finishing prints by MGI and has gained valuable experience in this matter. But due to well-known reasons, deliveries of this brand to Russia had been suspended, so it was decided to find a supplier of similar equipment.

Konica Minolta Russia specialists carefully studied the market offers and chose the products of the Chinese company Xin De Cheng, which produces machines for digital embellishments of prints.  In particular, the JetTouch model, the capabilities of which practically repeat the capabilities of MGI machines. With its help, it is possible to carry out flood , spot and tactile varnishing of prints, as well as to carry out cold foil stamping, including with the possibility of high peak metallization. In addition to JetTouch, Xin De Cheng has other types of equipment that may be in demand by Russian polygraphists, for example, a digital label finishing machine or digital printing machine on thin metal plates.

When signing the agreement, Alexander Suvorov, President of Konica Minolta Russia, noted: “We have accumulated extensive experience in sales of equipment for finishing of prints. There is a demand for it — customers are turning to us, but we cannot supply MGI equipment any more. Therefore, we were looking for a decent alternative. And in the face of the company Xin De Cheng, we found it. The equipment is decent, the results of its work that we see at the exhibition are excellent, so we will soon offer this equipment to our customers.”

In turn, the CEO of the company XinDeCheng, Zhang Tiejun clarified: “Our company is focused on working both on the domestic market and for export. And the Russian market is very important for us and is strategic. We are very proud that now our partner is Konica Minolta Russia. I am sure that their high competence in the field of various aspects of digital printing and finishing of printed products will be useful for both companies. We are focused on success.”
