Spot UV is a selectively applied glossy coating. In other words only part of the paper is covered. You can use it to highlight important parts of the design or give it a floating appearance to draw immediat attention to the product and make it stand out.
Ways to apply spot UV:
- Plate: whether it is a screen, or offset plate or sleeve roller plate, the UV varnish will be spread across the plate to ensure that only the required elements of the design are coated to create the desired contrasting effect.
