ceramic anilox roller for uv coater machine

In printing, anilox is a method used to provide a measured amount of ink or varnish to a flexographic printing plate or rubber applying roller. An anilox roller is a steel made hard cylinder, usually constructed of a steel or aluminum core which is coated by an industrial ceramic whose surface is engraved with millions of very fine dimples, known as anilox cells. In the printing process, the anilox roller is coated in a precise layer of ink or varnish that is then transferred to the raised portions of the printing plate. The anilox receives the ink or varnish or primer (indirectly from either an open tray or chambered doctor blade) and the doctor blade is used to remove excess primer leaving a measured amount in the cells.

The number, size, and geometry of the anilox cells on the surface of the anilox roller vary and will determine the amount of ink or varnish that the anilox roll delivers to the plate. Anilox rolls are specified by the number of lines per cm or inch and the depth of the engraved cell. The cells theoretical volume is shown in cc/m2 or BCM.

As for UV and AQ Coating equipment, anilox roller technology maintains a fix amount of coating transfer too for a variety of coating applications, including aqueous, UV and specialty coatings.
